 Colonsay Golf Course is thought to be one of the oldest in the world being constructed over 200 yrs ago. The sheep have probably kept the green in good order for that length of time, also!

Glad I read the description as I wondered what the stick was behind the sheep. Sheep not only trim the grass but fertilize it, too. Guess a free lift is in order? Thanks for the photo and the history of the links. Golf is reputed to have been started by bored shepherds knocking a pebble in a hole with a stick. The rest is history.

Our biggest worry, was, that there's nothing to do here.
