2.1.1 error -= I lose contact with the scanner after first scan. The cord is brand new so not the cord. This a recent error and may have happened only since iOS Monterey installed. Tried to reinstall driver but no luck. Please advise.

Hi raydanrack,

The CanoScan LiDE 210 is not supported with macOS v12 (Monterey).  macOS v10.15 (Catalina) is the last version of OSX is that is supported.  You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.

Hi noor069,

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?

If you are using a Mac, what version of OSX is installed?

Windows 10

Hi,

You can go into View Devices and Printers and run the troubleshooter on the scanner. If that does not resolve the issue and you have already reinstalled the scanner, there may be a security program causing the computer and scanner to not communicate. Microsoft support may be able to troubleshoot from there and see if any program is blocking the communication.
