Canon Lide 400 Scanner - Blurry? Help!

Hi guys 

Just got the Lide 400 scanner today. I'm scanning sports graded cards, they are coming out blurry and not crisp at all.

I've been playing with the settings and nothing is working.

Any tips?

Please see photos attached, the pokemon photo is how the scan should look, then look ay my scan of Michael Jordan, it's a blurry mess.

Hoping someone can tell me what I am doing wrong! 😄

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?
If you are using a Mac, what version of OSX is installed?
