XF105 videos only play back on XF Utility

Why can I only watched recorded video on the Cannon XF utility? I am trying to save it to my computer off of the card. I keep getting a device is empty message 😕

Hello Jennay82,

The XF105 camcorder records video into a .MXF file. You would need to have software that supports that file type to play back those clips. The Canon XF Utility supports that file type. This is why you can play them there. In order to download the .MXF files from your camcorder, you would need to install the XF Utility from our website. Alternatively, you could use a card reader to copy the files directly to your computer.
