XA65 sending footage to wrong folder in wrong video format

Hey guys!

I'm using a canon xa65 and when I film something it goes to the"content" fold in the SD card and not to the "DCIM" fold, and the format of the videos isn't the one I want, it's not even compatible when sending it to someone.
Do you know how I can change it? Because there were some clips in the DCIM card from someone else, but I deleted it, so I guess the normal thing is to go to the DCIM

Thank you so much for those who can help!

A DCIM folder is used to store images.  So camcorders that have the ability to take snapshots will store them there.

CONTENTS would be where video clips would be stored.

To select the video format (either MP4 or XF-AVC), see page 38 of the User Manual.
