Why haven't they release a firmware update that enables digital stabilization in photo mode on the Canon EOS R5C?

The R5 C supports IS that uses a lens equipped with lens IS in photo mode.

Since the R5 C is a video centric body, it doesn't have IBIS.  Adding Digital IS in photo mode would introduce crop.  In video mode (cinema OS), you have the following IS options.  Lens Optical Stabilization (for RF-S Lenses), Digital IS (Standard and High) introduces some crop determined by the setting), and Motion Vector Stabilization which is a more precise measure of X, Y axis pixel movement within each fame to produce smoother video without jello or wobble.
