imagePROGRAF PRO-310 banding

This is so discouraging - why do so many of us have issues with the 310 leaving streaks on our prints?  I'm a week past warranty (of course) and after printing my own calendars on matte paper, and fulfilling all my 8x10 orders on Baryta papers this past year, even though intermittently, I can't seem to get a clean print on anything anymore! It makes no difference what software I use - it really seems to be more of a hardware issue.

Nozzle checks, deep cleaning, print head alignment - all done to no avail.  My work is all dark sky imaging - so any kind of banding or streaks really shows up badly!  It has been mostly on the trailing edge lately, but today I see it all across the print.

I'm willing to try just about anything - except replace this thing already!  My costs are going up significantly when I have to do so many reprints!

Help or suggestions - ANYONE?

I'm very sorry to hear you're having issues.

I suggest that you call Canon.  I also suggest that any business use should include the cost of the 4-year CarePAK as part of NRE for printer purchase, as obviously not having support is significantly a) more costly and b) more frustating than the meager up-front cost savings on the hardware purchase.

I also suggest (and you may already be doing this) only use Canon paper, ink, etc.

1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. You can also access the website for other support options https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageprograf-pro-310
