OS Windows 11 pro
i installed the regular printer driver from the win11 support page. It installed with no problems and shows up as “Canon pro-1000 series” in the printer selection. I then tried to install the 16 bit XPS driver. The install completed but It shows up as Canon pro 1000 series - copy 1. in earlier versions of Win 11, I had both the printer drivers installed and could pick one or the other.
Is it possible to install both drivers in windows 11? This is also the 1st time I noticed that the printer is listed as Canon Pro 1000 Series. I think the previous version listed the printer by the ip address and there were separate listings for the regular driver and the XPS driver.
thanks

Issue solved - Just got off the phone with Canon Technical Support. You need to download both drivers; install the regular driver 1st, then install the XPS driver. Here is where it gets confusing. Even though both drivers are installed, it looks like the Windows 11 interface shows only Canon Pro 1000 Series in the control panel and the Device and Printer section. On the Devices & Printer page, if you right-click on the icon, you can see and select either the regular or the XPS option. When printing, XPS is now an option:
The windows print dialog shows now shows both the XPS and the regular printer as options.
Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop list both the XPS and regular printer as print options
I still cannot get Canon PPL to provide an XPS option.
