Hi,
I have 2 Canon Pro 1000 with the same problem of lines/bands on black backgrounds.
The problem appeared recently, i can not solve it.
It seems that it only happens with black backgrounds.
I read all the topics i could find about it.
I am using a 230gsm matte paper and i am printing with Canon Professional Print & Layout 1.5.0 with the latest printer drivers.
The selected paper on the printer and in the application is : Heavy Art Paper
My printers are connected by RJ45 cables, and my computer too.
Here are the things i already tried:
- Clean, Deep Clean, System Clean the Print Head
- Clean the bottom plate
- Clean the rollers
- Print in High Quality
- Upgrade the printers firmware to the latest 4.0.0.0 version
- Reset all the settings of the printers
- Try to activate the Avoid Abrasion setting
But i am still getting the same problem.
Please help 🙂
Thanks

For those having a similar problem:
- unidirectional printing option make the print better but do not solve the problem completely
- i also tried to update all the media configuration files with Canon media configuration tool
As a result, the lines are less visible, but still present

I made a manual cleaning of the print head, taking out of the printer, and cleaning it in a hot bath of distilled water and cleaning solution during 3h.
For now it seems that it solved the problem
