I am attempting to print on the Canon Pro Premium Matte paper and it seems that Canon constrains the margins to a minimum of 30mm. The Custom button is grayed out in Print Studio Pro. I have also tried to get around this in Lightroom 6 (by not using Print Studio Pro), but when I send the photo to my Canon Pixma Pro-100 the printer driver informs me that the 30mm margin will be imposed.
Is there any way to get around this limit? If not, does anyone know why Canon imposes this limit (especially on a smaller letter-sided paper? Thanks for the help from anyone more knowledgeable.

Hello.
When printing on Fine Art Paper, the printer will place a border around the image. This is because Fine Art Paper may have a tendency to curl as ink hits the paper, resulting in paper jams.
If you need additional assistance or details about media type settings for your printer, find more help at Contact Us.

Select Letter Paper and Matte Photo Paper, not Fine Art Paper and Premium Matte.
The 30mm is hard wired into all Fine Art Paper settings.
For larger prints I like the matte effect offered by the border and use A3+ 30 for all papers.
I agree it is too much on letter size.

Thanks again for the reply John!
So I found the "Prevent Paper Abrasion" setting in the Mac print driver (image 1 below)
As it seems that Print Studio Pro would still not allow me to set a margin less than 30mm,
I attempted a direct print via the Mac OS-X Print (driver) and the Pro-100 responded with the message below (image 2).
I like the look of the matte paper, but I am wondering if I need to be exploring outside of the Canon matte papers to find one without the margin limitations due to paper quality affecting curl -- or whether all matte/art papers are vulnerable to curling and paper jams for the Pro-100?
Simply looking for the benefit of other's experience as the Canon documention seems limited in this area.

Does an equivalent workaround exist for the Windows driver?

Yes.

Thanks, but that did not seem to do much on the Previews in PS or in the Print Driver, so I expect the largest print I can make on A3+ is 11.5x17.2. I hoped your advice would allow me to defeat the 30cm margin, but apparently not.

Thank you again John!
Yes, this was basically a test with my letter-sized sample pak.
Agreed on larger papers, that the border is a nice affect and look forward to trying the A3+ (13x19).
I've read less than positive reviews/comments on the Canon Pro Matte paper -- however, I really like the look.
I appreciate all your time in helping me with this issue.
