Did you mean:

Pro-200 smears matte premium

Tried my first print on the sample of Premium Matte A, letter sized, defauilted 25mm borders.

Black ink bled all over from the dark areas.

I printed from PShop, using PShop with ICC set to Canon Premium Matte A.  Selected same settings on the P-200 setup pages also.

Made a mess.

What is wrong?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Sometimes this happens when the paper is inserted wrong side out.

Wet a finger tip and touch a corner of the paper. The side you want to print on will feel sticky/tacky to the touch.

Thanks for the quick reply.

You solved the problem when you said one side is sticky (I know that trick from printing in the color darkroom).

I wondered why you said that, because sheet I used was thick and back side looks like cardboard.

I printed on the white side of the cardboard sheet that is in the front of the package!

First time user of both that paper and the printer.

I had made a semi-gloss  print aftewards and that came out perfectly.

So far, that printer is doing a remarkable job matching my proofing in PShop.

BTW. the cardboard print isn't bad, just lower resoution and the black lines are fuzzy.

Thanks,
