Canon has a driver on the support site that includes Big Sur as a supported macOS.

I haven't used this printer since I installed Big Sur. I'm on a mid 15 MacBook Pro.  I am trying to work from Photoshop 22. The plug-in is there and it goes to start up and then quits. So I'm guessing I don't have the latest plug-in and or dryer. When I go to the download page and I put the pro 1000 printer and it says I'm in Catalina. I change it to Big Sur in the downloads go away... The pop-up says there isn't anything available or I don't need it. I did use the Installer for the print Pro and it came up in Lightroom classic and works..  I'm guessing I need the new plug-in and possibly drivers to get things to work but I'm not getting any cooperation from the website.

Hi jiml1948,

Once on the downloads page for your imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, please choose "macOS 11" from the Operating System drop down list.  This will cause the drivers and software available for use with Big Sur to appear:
