Printing using Canon Easy-Photo Print Pro and Photoshop CC2015

I'm running Windows 10 64bit and I have 2 Canon printers a pro 9000 II and pro 10 setup as a wireless printer.

I'm having problems with the pro 10 printer. I'll open an image in Photoshop CC2015. If I want to print the image I'll click File/Automate then I select Canon  Easy-Photo Print Pro. When I click the down arrow to select a printer I only see the pro 9000 II. I do not see the pro 10 printer.

If I open Canon  Easy-Photo Print Pro without using Photoshop the pro 10 printer appears in the dropdown along with the pro 9000 II.

If I try to print an image directly from Photoshop by clicking File/Print the pro 10 displays as an option.

This problem was happening before when I was running Window 8.1 before I upgraded to Window 10.

Does anyone have any idea why this is heppening?

Thanks,

Paul

I think you need Print Studio Pro for the Pixma PRO printers.

Thanks John that fixed the problem.

Have a great day and weekend.

John, raises a good point  I would have thought that only the default printer used by Print Pro would be showing up through Photoshop.  Besides, if you start the package, I would also expect it to allow you to select a printer to use.

The Print Pro software is probalby configured to use one printer, or the other, as the default printer.

I;m not sure if this is normal or a little weird the way I have to print using Photoshop. Once I open an image in Photoshop I can print using the Easy Photo Print Pro or the Print Studio Pro.

If I select Easy Photo Print Pro if I want to print to the Pro 9000II.

If I select Print Studio Pro if I want to print to the Pro 10.

The Pro 9000II doesn’t appear in the Print Studio and the Pro 10 doesn’t appear in the Easy Photo.

My default printer is a Brother laser printer. I’ve changed the default and that didn’t make any difference.

If I open Easy Photo Print Pro without Photoshop I can select both the Pro 9000II and Pro 10.

Thanks,

Paul

It looks like if you have PSP 1.4.1 or later it should work with the 9000II and PRO-10.

There is a version 2.0 that was recently released; download that one.

Is it Easy Photo Print Pro or EX that you are using as a standalone program?

I'm using Photoshop plug-in Print Studio Pro 2.0 and standalone Easy Photo Print EX 4.5.0.

The Photoshop plug-in is Easy Photo Print Pro 2.8.2.

Thanks,

Paul

It looks like PSP should work with the 9000II. You could try uninstalling EPPPro or just continue with what you are doing.

It’s a little irritating but I think I'll just continue with the way it works. Since upgrading to Windows 10 I'm having a few non photo related problems so I’m planning to do a clean install of Windows 10 in the next few weeks.

I do appreciate the help and have a great day,

Paul
