My Pixma Pro-10 prints smoothly, however it darkens/adds to the color builds. I bought this machine to proof pre-press comps. However, despite having individual CMYK inks, it can't seem to print a basic pure cyan or magenta without adding another color which makes things look too dark or the wrong hue.
I use primarily Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CC.
I've tested MANY paper settings, printer profiles and rendering intent settings within Illustrator as well as through the print dialogue box. I've seen a lot of threads on this "darkening issue" but none have been a fix for me. I know what an ink should look like on press, I want my Pixma-Pro to represent this. My old Epson can.
If you have some Yoda-like advice I would be very greatful... if you could help this printing problem, that would be good too.
Thanks.
