Pixma Pro-10 Dull/Faded

Oran
Contributor

I have a pixma pro-10 and its printing very dull and faded.

I have replaced all the ink

I have removed and re added the printer via Disc

I have tried installing the newest drivers via the canon website

I have updated to the latest firmware via the canon website

I have printed out the image

some parts look good (strawberry, ocean, utah) but the majority of everything else is very dark to the point where the wall behind the sunflower looks grey.

I have tried printing from web browser, windows photos, paint shop pro (multiple versions) and get the same results.

I have printed default as well as going into preferences and using color match.

System is Win10.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

Can you post a photo of the nozzle check as well as a photo of the print?

Your Photo Black and Cyan nozzles are not printing. You need to run some cleaning cyclesScreenshot 2024-05-09 165731.jpg.

Okay, I have already run them but I will do so again.

I'll post what the after results are

If you run several deep cleaning cycles and still don’t get a correct nozzle pattern you will need to look into a new print head.

I have ran multiple and it's definitely not gotten better

It looks like it's gotten worse. You have nothing to lose by trying one of the head cleaning processes you can find on the web.

I pulled it apart and cleaned it (quick as I dont ever seem to have much time) and got all but the photo black going beautifully. I'll try another cleaning and see.

But that being said would this actually cause it to be dull and faded looking?

Until all inks are printing correctly output is going to be erratic. Whenever someone posts about printing issues I akways ask to see a nozzle check.
