PROGRAF PRO-1100 printer repair, contact for the maintenance cartridge is broken

Why is it impossible to get repair information for my PROGRAF PRO-1100? This is not a cheap printer. Nothing I do on the support website leads me to anything that directs me to help. This is an abvious attempt to give me and others the middle finger. I brought my printer to a local dealer who was rated as #1 in my state for several years. They refused to work onthis model. Am I just out $1500.00?

I know precisely what is wrong. I do not know why it broke but the contact for the mantainence cartrage is broken. I have tried to manipulate the contacts but continue to recieve the no maintance cartrage detected error.

I just want to know who in the US repairs Canon photo printers. When I follow the prompts on the Canon website I get a blank white screen with the word "Loading" shown. I have done this many times. I have that screen up right now. It has been up for four days. Clearly a problem. I went to a local Canon printer dealer that claims that they do repairs. They are proud of the fact that they were the number one dealer in Louisiana several times in recient years. They refused to work on this printer. This is not a printer that should be trashed and replaced. Canon?
