Hi Folks,
I'm wondering if anyone can provide any hints here. We've been using this canon pro-10 for some time, probably gone through a full ink set replacement 5 to 10 times, recently when trying to replace the ink we follow the same procedure used each time. Turn the printer on, wait for it to settle, open the lid on top and hit the continue/resume button.
Predictably the printer head assembly moves to the replacement position, then suddenly it retracts back to it's original hidden position (leaving no time at all to change the ink) and begins doing it's self cleaning routine (with the lid still open).
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening or things I should try?

Welcome.
Try unplugging from power source and then pressing power button a few times to drain any stored charge.
Plug back in and see if it functions correctly.
