Ink Tank Replacement error, Prograf-Pro-1000 printer

patrick-seattle

Tell me I didn't make a $75 mistake. I inserted one DGY ink tank cartridge into the Pro-1000 and immediately took it back out to do the shake thing. I put it back in and now it registers as a used tank that needs replacing. Is there a way to reset the printer to recognize this tank as new? Or do I have to go buy another one to make it read as new?

Thanks, won't make that mistake again.

Patrick

That sounds like the chip is damaged. Return it as faulty and get a new one. If it's full and new and now reads empty, it means the chip on the cartridge is bad.
