In the past I've had intermittent problems with some canvas sheets not feeding but I would try a different sheet and eventually get it to work. Now, though, nothing works. I'm able to use the manual feeder for 13 x 19 inch heavy art paper without a hitch. But it won't work with the same canvas I used to use (which is 17x 22) nor with heavy art paper of the same size (and it used to feed it fine, too). It starts the feed and then stops with a 7400 error message. I've tried the cleaning routine outlined in the instruction manual, and that made no difference. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Hi Denchamber,
Please try cleaning the paper feed rollers manually, as fibers from paper cna build up on the rollers and caused paper feed issues.
To clean manually, please click the link below and follow the steps at the bottom of that page:
If the issue persists, your PRO-1000 would require service. If your PRO-1000 was purchased less than a year ago, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat to obtain your in warranty options. Thanks Patrick and sorry for the delay - I've been on the road but home this evening and will try your suggestion tomorrow. I'm out of warranty and really appreciate the alternatives you are suggesting regarding purchasing a replacement product if this doesn't work.

OK Patrick, still no luck. I had previously done the first step of the cleaning routine, which hadn't helped. But I hadn't done the second step (cleaning the rollers with a cotton swab). I've now done that but it seems to me that those rollers only relate to the top feeder, and my problem is with the manual feeder. Before I contact Canon about a possible replacement purchase, am I missing something. In other words is there a way to clean the rollers for the manual feeder with a cotton swab? Thanks, Dennis.

Hi Denchamber,
There isn't a procedure available for cleaning the manual feed rollers. It is recommended that you contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat to obtain your in warranty options.
