I'm confused with timers of Pixma PRO-200S, need answer

Hello everyone. As I heard there is a 60 hours timer which triggers small cleaning if I don't print. So every 2.5 days I was printing 1 nozzle check sheet to discard that timer. It was working for a while but eventually printer started to clean nozzle right before print. I thought that maybe I was few hours late so then I started to do nozzle check every 2 days, was ok for a while too but then again printer started doing some cleaning when I did set to print a nozzle check pattern. But what confused me totally is that last night I did a lot of printing and then before going to sleep I printed one nozzle check sheet, to ensure that all nozzles worked, to prevent that unwanted cleaning. Guess what, next day I had to print one drawing and printer started to clean nozzle right before it! Now I'm totally confused what is going on. Is there a mandatory 5-6 days timer for cleaning despite how often I print? I heard people print a nozzle check every few days too, to prevent cleaning, but seems it makes no any sense in my case.

Greetings,

I believe the Pro200/s might have auto maintenance adjustment menu option that allows you to customize some of the auto maintenance items.  I've been sifting through the manual trying to find it.

The best option might be to contact Canon support.  They can clarify any of your questions and provide guidance on optimal settings.

Start by registering your product in your MyCanon account then contact support.
