I was changing out my ink and when I opened the door I found this pin or rod.  I added a picture where I found it.  I looked through the printer but could not find anything obvious.  Does not seem to affect operation.  Can anyone indentify it?  Your help is appreciated.

27 people have looked and no replies.  I didn't want to you to think nobody was looking so I'm posting a reply, but I have no idea what it is.

Greetings,

You can call the Canon parts order desk. They may be able to help you identify the part.  See this KB article.

How to Order Replacement Parts for Canon Products https://share.google/odJ1zB9JEGSOPs3X4

Additionally, I would register the product in your MyCanon portal.

Home - MyCanon https://share.google/nv6jq3ApcjGpKzMXu

If the parts department is unable to assist, they will be able to transfer you to a support representative for additional options.

Good luck 😉
