Printer: Pro-1000
I have printed Avery labels before, though with little satisfaction. I tried again, but this particular sheet of labels started making a "crunching" sound while printing, and eventually the paper ejected with a portion of the label material missing. I opened the cover and found a small piece of it near the back, and was able to remove it by hand, but there is more label missing that I can not see. My initial thought was to run a piece of standard photo paper through the printer, but then I worried that that might make things worse.
How can I self-service this issue? The printer is (just barely... of course...) out of warranty. Are there reliable YouTube videos demonstrating how to take the inner workings apart so as to search for the rest of the missing label? Or other "approved" instructions?

Greetings,
This type of issue usually takes patience and a good flashlight. Labels are a little more tricky since they stick to everything they touch. There are not any instructions I am aware of. You need to be systematic and check all surfaces in the paper path for stuck material. It might be worth contacting Canon support too, but you can start with self-inspection.
