Are imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 print heads interchangeable?

I have a ImageProGraph pro-1000 that needs a new print head.   I have found a used print head online and wonder if the print heads are interchangeable ?    thank you

Hi jmorp,

The printhead of your imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 can be replaced.

The printhead that the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 uses is model number PF-10.

You may purchase the PF-10 printhead directly from Canon by calling the Parts Department by dialing 1-866-481-2569.  The hours of operation the Parts Department are 9:00 AM to 7 PM ET, Monday through Friday.  They can provide you with availability and cost.

Can I purchase one from a person whose pro-1000 is not repairable but the print head is still good ?  Thank you

A printhead for this model can be moved between different devices, but it's not recommended.  If you do decide to buy used, make sure that it comes with a right to return.
