I just got this error code -- EC51-404C -- from my still under warranty GP-4000. I had finished a print and just sent another to the printer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Jason

Greetings,
Power off the device and disconnect from power. Press and hold the power button for 1 min. Reconnect to power, power on and try to print, if the error reoccurs, you need to contact canon.

Thanks but didn't work -- printer needed a new main board.

Hello, good morning. I have the same error as you, but in Canon Pro 2100, could you please guide me on how you solved the error?

In my case the only solution was to contact Canon and have the main board of the printer replaced. I first unsuccessfully tried the solution that Shadowsports suggested above. Best of luck!
