Searching for assistance to setup a Canon Imagerunner ADV-C5800. This is a business printer, copier and fax all in one. The machine is equipped with the IP FAX Expansion Kit and licensed.
Our setup includes Call Manager - CUCM and a CISCO SIP Server. This machine has been assigned a DID extension and with the SIP is trunk to the PSTN.
To my understanding the machine is capable of : IP-Fax (Intranet), VoIP to G3 (via VoIP Gateway) and G3 fax.
The issue is the machine configurations requires VoIP Gateway setting where we used the SIP server and the IP of the machine on T.38 UDPTL connection as suggested by the manual.
Without any success the machine cannot register with CUCM and as a result cannot send / receive any external faxes.
What is working: Sending faxes to other faxes via Intranet, and the fax machine is able to call another external phone number but again no success with sending a fax to an external phone number.
I've been working with canon field techs / specialist without any success (not very experienced with SIP)
To eliminate some scenarios, we also have 10 faxes from another company running with the exact same setup and no issues (SIP via T.38 protocol with assigned extensions)
Searching for anyone who may have suggestions or have experience with this setup.
Thanks.
