Colorado M-Series API – Anyone Pulling Data Directly from the Printer?

yahmed651

Hi everyone,

We currently have 2 x Colorado M-Series printers in our setup and are exploring options to connect via API to pull data directly from the printers.

Our main goal is to track print status for jobs and update order statuses automatically in our system once a print is completed. Ideally, we’d like to trigger updates directly from the printer via API (e.g., mark an order as printed once it’s done).

Just wondering:

  • Has anyone here felt the need to extract data from the Colorado M-series?

  • Is anyone currently using an API or any alternative method (e.g., hot folder monitoring, print job logs, or third-party software) to achieve this?

  • Any insights, tools, or experiences you'd be willing to share?

Would really appreciate any advice or pointers in the right direction!

Thanks in advance,

The colorado M Series is not supported directly by Canon.  These professional series printers are supported by Canon's Dealer network.

You can find a dealer near you by visiting this page:

Shop Canon Business Colorado M-series | Canon U.S.A, Inc.

Or by calling 1-800-652-2666

If you are seeking SDK or software assistance, the Canon Developers Community *might* be another resource.
