imageCLASS MF754Cdw printer not working well through network with MacOS

Hi,

we have bought a Canon MF754CDW printer to the office. But people with MAC OS have problems to work with it. It seems that it works well only immediately after driver installing. Then when the printer go into sleep mode, it look like that MACs do not see it, even after waking up by touching the control panel.

Sometimes it start to work, but it is very strange. E.g. when turning the printer off-on or 10 min after waking up.

Thank you for help, we really tried almost everything incl. setting the exact IP etc.

Ondrej

Hello,

If you are only running into the issue from Mac computers, it looks like you might be using a generic printer driver instead of the one designed for the printer. In this situation you can try downloading and installing the latest version of the UFR II/UFRII LT Printer Driver. I checked and it looks like this model is a Canon Europe model and I do not have access to the drivers. In this situation, you can contact Canon Europe or the vendor the printer was purchased from to locate the latest version of the drivers for Mac OS.

Hi Ondrej,

Here's a link for Mac drivers.

i-SENSYS MF754Cdw - Canon Europe https://share.google/bCVI7barhvUyEIEoJ

After confirming you have in fact assigned a static IP address for the printer on your router or DHCP server, please remove the printer from each MAC and uninstall any drivers.  Then important, restart the MAC and install the printer as an IP printer using its IP address.  If you don't know how to do this, please Google it.  This should help with the issue you are experiencing.
