Hi,
I am a new customer of Cannon. I bought a new Imageclass656c, and I have not been able to scan my document. The system could not check my SMTP connection to the SMTP server. I have checked my internet, it is working. I will appreciate any help. Thanks!

Greetings,
You need to use an app password. For Gmail, enter the 16 digits without dashes. Be sure to use port 587.

In order for your printer to scan to email or use iFax, you need to enter SMTP settings for your mail host into its remote UI. What mail host do you intend to use?

There is not an alternate configuration. Respectfully, if you did everything listed, it will work. Somewhere you've missed a setting or have not entered something correctly. What error message are you receiving?
Please provide your configuration. I'll do my best to help you identify what is incorrect. Please use the link above to my other post there are images with the correct settings for Gmail.
