Changed internet providers and am having trouble pairing the printer since the IP address is different than the one stored in the printer.  How do I change the IP address in the printer?

Setting Up a Manual Connection for the D570 Printer to Wi-Fi

Required Information

Before starting the manual connection process, gather the following details:

  • SSID: The name of your wireless network.
  • Network Key: This is the password for your Wi-Fi network, which may be a WEP key or WPA/WPA2 passphrase.

Steps to Connect Manually

  1. Access Network Settings:

    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network menu.
    • Select Wireless LAN Settings.
  2. Enable Wireless LAN:

    • If prompted, select Yes to enable the wireless LAN.
  3. Select Manual Setup:

    • Choose the option to enter the SSID and network key manually.
  4. Enter SSID:

    • Input the SSID of your Wi-Fi network using the numeric keys.
  5. Enter Network Key:

    • Input the network key (password) for your Wi-Fi network.
  6. Confirm Settings:

    • After entering the SSID and network key, select Apply to save the settings.
  7. Check Connection:

    • Wait for the printer to connect to the network. The Wi-Fi indicator should blink during this process and then light up when connected.

Troubleshooting

  • If the printer cannot find the access point, ensure it is properly installed and within range of the router.
  • Double-check the SSID and network key for accuracy if an error occurs during setup.

Thanks for joining the conversation, 9ACES!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using.  To date, Canon USA hasn't made a printer with the model number D70, so could you please double-check the model number for us?  It should appear somewhere on the front or top of the unit next to the word "imageCLASS."  That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

Sorry - typo.  the model number is D570.  However, I was able to reach the Canon techs on 1/26/26 and Shari quickly resolved my issue.  Canon's techs are FIRST RATE.
