can not reinstall driver wireless method mx 494

hi

i uninstalled my canon driver as i was having problems with my printer

i tried to reinstall it and it cant find the printer wirelessly, as it was connect to my wifi

i tried to reset my wifi on  my printer but it still does not show up on my computer to connect to the printer

what do i have to do to reconnect my printer wirlessly to the computer, as now i cant install my driver without it scanning for the printer

i tried to reset the wifi on the printer and even after that it still did not show on the wifi on the computer

any suggestions and fixes

i have a canon mx494 printer and scanner

Hi shaunnew,

Please follow these steps:

1.  Please press the wrench and screwdriver button on your printer

2.  Use the right arrow button to select Device Settings and press OK

3.  Use the right arrow button to select LAN Settings and press OK

4.  Use the right arrow button to select Print LAN details, then press the OK button

On the page that prints, please take note of the SSID.  This is the name of the network that your printer is connected to.  Please make sure that your computer is connected to the same network as your printer and attempt to install again.
