I'm working at the IT dept. for a company, our employees are using Dell laptops running Windows 7 SP1 with Microsoft DirectAccess.
When working at their home offices (via DirectAccess), people with Canon Pixma 850 printers cannot print wirelessly. We can install the printer via wireless, and we can ping the IP address of the printer from the pc. But when printing nothing happens. The printed document just stays in the queue.
We've got some employees with HP and Brother printers at home, they're printing wirelessly without any problems. So the question is if there's a known problem between Microsoft DirectAccess and the Canon wireless printing software?

Hi batten,
Are the computers goign through a vpn when being used with DirectAccess? Do you know if the pritner works when DirectAccess is not being used? The MX850 is a consumer model, so it was designed with a home office environement in mind, so more advanced networking functionality such as working through a VPN would not be supported.
