Why does my Wi-Fi light keep blinking? I have to shut down and restart many times to print.

Almost every time I have to print, I have to restart my printer, sometimes many times, before it will print. Sometimes it says new IP address, but it is always the one chosen in the Control Panel. This is very frustrating. Please help!

Hello gundam81,

If your situation is the same as DorothyMcGee described, it sounds like your router automatically assigns the IP Address for your printer.  When your router resets, it will assign your printer a new IP Address so you will need to turn the printer off and back on to reset the IP Address on the printer too (so it accure a new IP Address from your router).  You can manually set the IP Address (also known as a "static" IP Address) on the printer so when your router resets, your printer's IP Address will remain the same.  For your convenience, click HERE and follow the steps to manually set the IP Address on your printer.  Please keep in mind, once you manually set a "static" IP Address on your printer, you will need to re-add the printer to your Mac computer.
