Canon MF652Cw Color Imageclass Printer
Just purchased the above printer to use with my HP laptop running Windows 11 Home. I have loaded the printer software 3 times now, disabled VPN and Firewalls too. While I can print to the printer and MF Scan Utility comes up, the other 2, Toner Status and Canon FM Network Scanner Selector will not. Would appreciate any suggestions as to fixing this.

Since the MF Scan Utility is functioning, the basic network connection is there. The two tools that fail, Toner Status and the Network Scanner Selector, often rely on specific bi-directional communication protocols (like SNMP or proprietary Canon services) that might still be getting blocked or disrupted even with the firewall temporarily disabled. A likely fix is to ensure the printer's software and drivers are the absolute latest version from Canon's website, not the disk, and try re-installing hctra with the printer connected via USB first to establish all communication ports, then switch to the network connection. Also, check your router settings to ensure "client isolation" or similar security features are disabled, as this can prevent tools from discovering network devices.
