I am having a lot of trouble connecting to the wireless printer to my computer. I can get only so far and then get a message when in the "acquiring information on latest driver software" that says it "failed" to acquire and to check the network connection, even though there isn't a problem. I've been trying to connect this printer for the last three plus hours. HELP!

Greetings,
I could have directed you to the correct download, but you didn't tell us what OS/version you are running?
So visit this page and select the correct OS for your system.
Regardless of which you are using, choose the Full Installtion package.
When you run the software, you will see a checkbox (near the bottom) on the first or second dialog, asking to "Get latest or Use Updated files from the internet'. This option is present, in the event you are using older installtion media. It basically checks the Canon Support page and uses those "updated" drivers during the install. By downloading the package directly, you don't need this option selected.
Let me know if this helps.
