Since the update from macOS Sonoma to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1, I have been unable to scan using ScanGear on my Pixma MX922. When trying to Close and write the image file after scanning, I get the infamous Code:10,202,3 error. I can print fine and, oddly enough, I get a saved image using the Document or Photo options, but not with ScanGear. I see there are lots of similar posts regarding previous macOS updates and other Canon scanners but nothing I’ve tried has worked. What can I do? Any help will be deeply appreciated.

As best I can determine, Canon will no longer support the MX922 scanner or provide drivers and utilities for the device on macOS. Fortunately there is VueScan. For a modest investment, I got better scanner software from a company committed to supporting current operating system software. Problem solved.
