Professional Print & Layout no longer opens images

Two days ago, it worked fine.  Now, neither File Open or drag and drop do anything.  I upgraded to Windows 11 a week or so ago, but it was printing file after the upgrade.

I have the same problem, and cannot open ANY image files.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application with no success.   It was working one day, and not the next.  It's extremely frustrating because it was my go-to app for printing on my brand new Pro-300   Nearly $1000 spent and now the best software for printing doesn't work.  I can print directly from other software, but I had preferred to use the Canon Professional Print and Layout as it is easy yet full of feature, but now it's useless.

Apparently a lot of us are not very observant...  Canon says, Check at the very bottom of the application for two little up arrows.  Apparently the thumbnail bar can get minimized and it will appear that nothing has opened when you open a image file.      I haven't confirmed that this was the problem yet as I'm not at that machine but I will confirm this evening.

I am facing the same issue—unable to open a jpeg file by drag and drop or through open. I don't see any two little up arrows at the bottom. I am attaching a screenshot. Screenshot 2024-09-28 at 10.11.53 AM.png

Hi swenam,

The 2 arrows that were referred to in the previous post are highlighted in the image below:

Hi! Yes, it worked. Thank you! I also have one more issue. I recently got a Canon Pixma Pro 200 and printed on "Photo Paper Pro Matte," and some of the colours are not printing well, and black is bleeding. The print comes out nicely when I use "Premium Photo Paper Pro Matte." I am unsure if I am doing something wrong, and it would be great to get some help to figure this out. I already posted this in the community but didn't get any response. Any help would be appreciated. I am attaching photos for reference. Thank you!Result is great on premium photo paper matte.Result is great on premium photo paper matte. Some colours have grains and black ink is bleeding on photo paper matte stock. Some colours have grains and black ink is bleeding on photo paper matte stock.
