Pixma MG5300 connected, but not responding to print command

Hey everyone.

I have tried to print from a Pixma MG5300, it is pretty old, but works well usually.

The printer is connected successfully on the router of someone I am trying to help out, I can see the printer in Windows Networks, connect to it from the laptop, aswell as access it from Google Chrome, but when I print to it, just a test page, it

immediately gives an error.

As usual, I restarted the router and printer, a few times, but still no results.

The printer itself, does not show any messages or info on-screen.

Perhaps someone had this problem before and can give me a hint on how to fix it.

Thank you all for your time.

Greetings,

"Windows Networks" is what OS exactly...

7, 10?

The MP driver should allow you to install and print under W7, 8, 10, etc.

Thanks, I am working on Windows 10 64bit Version 20H2, but I did also get a solution, just installed the Canon MJ app that is found on the website, seems like the problem is with the build in WSD driver of Windows.

Thank you also for the response. Do appreciate it.
