Password for the Canon TS6300 printer (Remote User Interface)

I opened a web page for the Canon TS6300 Remote User Interface (see below) and it asks for a password. What is that password? Or where exactly can I find it? Enter/"admin"/"Administrator" did not work.

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear you can't get logged in. On newer models like the TS6300 series, the default password for the Remote User Interface (Remote UI) is no longer "admin" or "canon."

By default, the password is your printer's Serial Number.

Step 1: Locate the Serial Number Check the back of the printer for a white sticker. It consists of 9 characters (4 letters followed by 5 numbers).

Step 2: Enter the Password Correctly

  • Case Sensitive: You must enter the letters in UPPERCASE (e.g., ABCD12345).

Step 3: What if that doesn't work? If the serial number is rejected, the password may have been changed. You can reset it by reverting the LAN settings:

  1. Go to Setup (Gear Icon) > Device Settings.
  2. Select Reset Settings > LAN settings only.
