PIXMA iX6820 Trouble connecting to Android tablet

RA4
Apprentice

Hello, I'm having trouble connecting my S9+ tablet to my Canon PIXMA iX6820 and would love some help. If anyone can provide me with step-by-step instructions I would be very grateful. I have nearly tried everything and I'm still struggling. I have been successful in connecting through by using a Ethernet cable but would very much prefer and need a wireless connection. Any help will be highly appreciated, thank you.

Hi RA4,

There are a few methods that you can use to connect your PIXMA iX6820 to your Wi-Fi:

Wireless LAN connection of your printer to a wireless network using WPS - iX6820

How to Start Cableless Setup - iX6820

Please make sure your Wi-Fi network is using WPA2 and is broadcasting 2.4Ghz.

If you continue to have difficulties, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

Once logged in, click on your PIXMA iX6820 and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support.

Greetings,

You will need to get your printer connected to your wireless network.  I recommend using the second link in Patrick's post.

I use the Canon Print App for Android to print from my S9+.  It's free! Download in the Google Play Store.

Note, the Canon print app can be used to connect your printer to your wireless network once it's put into Wireless setup mode.
