Computer running again after crash, but printer driver…..poof.
Having trouble installing new driver for Pixma iP4920. Model has been retired but downloads available on Canon site. So I downloaded appropriate file (I think): “xp68-win-ip4900-5-56ejs application”
When I double-click the file to install and hit “yes” (permit changes in my computer), the installation seems to proceed, but then returns this message:
“No IJ printer driver is correctly installed. Install the IJ printer driver correctly so that printing can be executed and then install the XPS printer driver”
Help please. Yelling at the cat!

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA iP4920 is indeed an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!
