I will update with full number if possible

i have a Pixma TS7722 and it will not stay connected to my printer app. It was working this morning and early evening but when I tried to print something again about an hour later it wouldn’t connect. Tried manual and WiFi. It will log into my wifi and show in the settings of the printer, but won’t connect to my phone to the app through the wifi so I can print things off my phone.

Greetings,

Please let us know what connection method you plan to use for the device?

The printer supports:

Wireless Direct:  No network is required.  This mode allows one device to connect directly to the printer.  Can be a phone, tablet or computer.

Wi-Fi Network:  This mode requires a router (wireless network).  You connect the printer to the wireless network.  This mode offers greater versatility since it allows any device connecting to the same wireless network to use the printer.

The modes must be configured independently, one or the other.

The printer is dual band and can connector to 2.4 or 5Ghz networks

I can provide more details if you let us know if your phone is Android or iOS?

I have tried both ways. It won’t print. Using iOS phone.

The printer has to be configured for one or the other connection method.  Once you decide which, please configure using these steps.

Wi-Fi network:

Network icon (usually in the upper right corner, looks like a signal tower).

Tap Wi-Fi.

Tap Wi-Fi setup.  Follow the prompts to select your wireless broadcast and enter its security key.

Wireless direct: From the printer's HOME screen, select Setup > Printer settings > LAN settings > Wireless Direct, when enabled, Note the printer's network name and password.  Your mobile device has to be connected to this network. It will not connect to the printer if your phones wireless is connected to your home's wifi network. This connection type is less versatile but does allow you to print directly from a device without a wireless network.

You'll need the Canon Print Ppp available from the App Store.

I have a similar issue on my Pixma TR8620a MFC printer.  I was able, but for reasons unclear (?possibly upgrading my iPhone 12 iOS to 18.7.2) I am now UNABLE to print from my iPhone. I have disabled the Wireless Direct and only my wifi network is connected to the Pixma as confirmed in the Pixma screen (only the Wifi icon present). I printed out the entire Network Configuration Page confirming 1. Product Information ---> TR8600 series Ver 2.002  2. Network Diagnostics ---> "There is no problem"   3.2 Wireless LAN ---  "Enable"  (grammatically I would expect "Enabled") with all infrastructure parameters appearing to be correct including 2.4 GHz and my SSID, Channel 11, encryption etc. 3.3 Wireless Direct  --> "Enable".  This is unclear to me as I specifically "disabled" the Wireless Direct and the Pixma LAN settings shows that Wifi is enabled and Wireless Direct is disabled (as is the Wired LAN disabled).   Surely there is some magic switch on my iPhone that is inadvertently disabled so that it cannot communicate with the printer via my wifi network (my preference).   I am able to print directly from my Win 11 Pro Dell desktop via my wifi network (and also desktop to Pixma via wired/ethernet cable) ; also no issue printing from my iPad 9th Gen with iOS 18.7.2 via my wifi network.  Something isn't enabled or possibly duplicated on my iPhone preventing communication and it does not appear to be the upgraded iOS as the cause since iPad wifi printing works fine.

I have tried connecting both ways it won’t show up. It says it’s connected to my home wifi. I connected my phone to the printer wifi then it prompted me to connect it to my home network. I follow all the steps on the printer and on the phone it won’t show up in my app
