Brand New PIXMA TS3720, desktop printer icon missing

When using my old Pixma printer, a tech here told me how to make a little icon thing on my desktop and when I opened that, a small screen opened that let me choose whether I wanted to scan something or print something and I cold also choose what quality I wanted for my prints. Is there anyway to get this handy little helper to show up again? Go easy on me please....I am 74 and don't know all the lingo.

Thanks, Legs 1616

If using windows you should be able to open your start menu scroll down to Canon utilities and drag that icon onto your desktop.

Hello,
Absolutely! That little helper was likely the Canon IJ Scan Utility or Quick Menu. To get it back:

1. Go to the Canon website and search for your Pixma model.
2. Download and install the “IJ Scan Utility” or “Quick Menu” software.
3. Once installed, it should place a shortcut on your desktop or in your Start menu.
4. Open it, and you’ll see the same simple screen to scan, print, and choose quality settings.

If you need help finding the right download, just let me know your Pixma model—I’ll guide you step by step.

Hello Henry Ceboyi.

I am using a Pixma TS 3720 with Wibdows. I have the IJ Scan Utility but I maybe what I am looking for is the "Quick Menu" software. I searched for "Quick Menu" on the Canon site and found several questions regarding it, but was unable to link to a page with the "Quick Menu". I did find a 404 and anther page that said Quick Menu was unavailable.

I do have the IJ Scan Utility, and I guess I can use that if I have to, but I would love to try your "Quick Menu" and thanks for very much for your help.

You can get the Quick menu here, I can't guarantee it will work for your printer, but I think it will .
