Hi Brock! Thanks for contributing to the Canon Community! I see that nothing happens when you press the wireless button.
I assume that an error code is not blinking on the printer's display. Please make sure that you see a steady number 0 in the top right corner of the little display on the printer. If you see an error code that begins with an E or P flashing on the display, you will need to take care of that error before the Wireless button will work. Please write back if you see an error code blinking and provide the code being displayed. Examples of possible error codes include E,0,5 and P,0,2.
In most cases, a few buttons on the printer (the wireless button being one of them) will respond if the inks are installed. Please make sure that both ink cartridges are properly installed. Both must be installed for the printer to work. Here is a link to the manual page that shows you how to install the ink cartridges:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TS3700%20series/EN/UG/ug-127.html
Additionally, several buttons on the printer (including the wireless button) will not respond if the cover is open. I am referring to the cover you open to install the ink cartridges. Please review the steps for installing the inks (previous link) and make sure that the cover you open in step 3 (marked with the letter C) is closed in step 7. If that cover is closed, please open it and close it again to make sure it is properly closing.
Once you confirm that the cover is closed and the ink cartridges are installed, you can proceed with the wireless setup. Please note that you do not need to press the Wireless button to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi. Pressing and releasing the wireless button does nothing but switch the printer between Wi-Fi mode, Wireless Direct mode, and Off.
If you want to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi, you will need to hold down the Wireless Connect button. The symbol on that button looks like a paperclip or chain link. It is located below the Wireless/ Wireless Direct button.
To see instructions that will help you connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network, please visit the following link and then follow the instructions that follow:
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-ts3720-wireless-home-all-in-one-printer
When the page opens, please do the following:
Please note that near the beginning of the instructions, you will need to hold down the Wireless Connect button until a symbol that looks like a smartphone starts blinking on the printer's display. When you see that phone symbol blinking, you can let go of the button and then follow the remainder of the steps.
If you do not see a blinking phone symbol after holding down the Wireless Connect button (symbol looks like a chain link or paperclip), and you have confirmed that the ink cartridges are installed and cover is closed, I recommend contacting Canon support. They can troubleshoot the printer further and help with warranty options.
To reach Canon support, you will need to create a Canon Account and register the printer. After you do that, you can call 1-800-652-2666. Our agents are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 PM Eastern time.
You can create your Canon Account and register the printer at the following website:
https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/us/signin
When the window opens, click on the "Don't have an account" link at the bottom of the page.
I hope this helps.
