PIXMA TS3122 Unable to Connect to Network

I have an old PC that runs Win10 - Microsoft updates won't go through anymore bc of its age and capabilities but everything else works fine so I'm not getting a new PC.  My printer has always worked fine until recently and now I can't get my PC connected back to my printer.  I have tried to update the drivers but I think they're not updating properly bc I don't have the latest Microsoft updates.  That can't be the only solution but I've tried to find the printer using IP address, host name, etc. and I'm still unable to get my PC able to locate the printer.  This has been an unbelievably frustrating customer experience.

Greetings,

Windows 10 is still being actively supported.  It will not be end of life until October of this year.  This means your PC is eligible to receive updates through this date.

The failure of you not receiving operating system updates is not the fault of Canon or your product.  Surely you can acknowledge this.

It's unlikely this would keep your printer from working with your computer.  It worked previously and you haven't upgraded the OS.

It sounds like you have your printer connected to a wired or wireless network?  If not, let us know if it USB.

The TS3100 is a series.  Canon released more than one model in this series.  Can you please tell us the model of your printer?  This way we can provide assistance which will be more concise.

Other factors that can affect proper detection and installation are 3rd party anti-virus or software firewall settings.  We can help further once your answered the above questions, regarding model, connection method, software environment, etc.  🙂

Looking forward to your reply.

No, my computer is too old to receive any of the updates - it's been that way for 2 years and has nothing to do with Win10 EOL.  So, YES, I do hold Canon accountable bc I haven't had Windows updates for 2 years and my printer has been working fine, as it should - it shouldn't be tethered to that anyway.  I should be able to update the correct drivers with the operating system I currently have and it should work - but as of 2 weeks ago, it doesn't.

This is model TS3122 and it always worked via wireless connection before.  I haven't changed any of my firewall/other software settings and no other updates have been made.  All I did recently was unplug my printer to move it to the other side of my desk - which I've unplugged and moved it around before and it never had this issue.  If it ever had connectivity issues, I would simply download the latest drivers from Canon and then I'd be able to get the connection going again.  This time, nothing is working.  So, again, frustrating customer experience = it should be seamless.
