Tried looking through the community but cant find a solution. My printer suddenly can't communicate with the network. I noticed it as i tried to print and jobs sat in the que. Worked neither through my PC or smartphone. It's connected to my router which i can see on the printer screen and as a connected device when i check through my router. I've tried all solutions posted.
Nothing I try seems to be working. Any suggestions?

Hi emsantil2,
I would unplug the router for a longer period of time, maybe up to 30 minutes.

Hi DanielM,
Please install the "Canon PRINT" app on your cellphone.
Making sure that your cellphone and TR8520 are on the same Wi-Fi, please attempt to print.
Were you able to print?

This thread has become splintered and has two users posting back and forth with product experts. Very difficult to follow as the solutions being offered are different for each user's environment operating system and configuration.
@DanielM please start your own thread so your issue can receive the visibility and attention it deserves. It will also be easier for those of us trying to help. Note I will be watching for your thread and will respond directly. Thanks in advance.

@emsantil2.
This is your thread. Here's what I'd like for you to do.
Please login to your router and look at the list of attached devices. If your printer is connected to the 2.4 GHz broadcast, you will see it listed with the IP address the router has assigned. Now assign a static IP to the printer. If you don't know how to do this, just say so. A static IP address is persistent. It means that the router will not assign the IP you have specified for the printer to other devices. Even if it is shut off, goes to sleep or not used for an extended period.
Let me know once you get the static IP address assigned. Once done you will be able to ping the printer at the IP address you've assigned. Then we will remove the device from your system and re-add it as an IP printer. I will assist you with this process if you are not familiar with it.

Will do if I don't get the problem resolved by myself in the next day or so. Question: when I start my thread, how do I move my postings and Patrick's reply into it from the old thread?
Thank you.
