My laptop, ACER Inspire, won't find printer either on wireless network, or when hardwired to printer via usb.
The Scan Utility s/w tries to identify the printer, but never comes up with a printer either hardwired or wirelessly. I just want the DRIVER itself since the s/w to find the printer isn't working.
Makes no sense why I can't find a link to the DRIVER. Of course there are a dozen bogus links that want me to install their s/w, but none are legit as far as I'm concerned.
Can someone please help me find a direct link to the scanner utility s/w for Windows 11?
- Thx

Greetings ,
The TR7620 appears to be a model released in Canada, not the US. It came in two variants TR7620 and TR7620a. Here is a link to the support portal for the 7620.

I should also note that some newer Acer laptops come with an ARM based Snapdragon processor. ARM based drivers are not available for your printer at this time.

I have no idea whether it is relevant to the Acer problem. When installing printers, sometimes old ones, on new software, relying on the automatic process wherein Canon identifies your system (various Windows versions in my case) and then finds the right driver doesn't always work because there is no driver. The solution on Win 11, for the older printers, was to download from Canon the last Windows version printer driver available. It still works. Even an 8.1 driver worked ok.

Hi,
Yes. This is often true and works in many cases.

Jane, Thanks for the input. Finding the DRIVER itself has been the issue from the start. Seems the Canon solution is to download a program that looks for your printer, then installs based upon the finding. I was looking for the raw driver to no avail.
The link from shadow ran the printer search, and for some reason that one did find my printer and installed the scanner driver utility. Why the driver is so elusive is beyond me, but I'm up and running now. Thanks again.

I am new to Canon forums and reading some old posts. It does seem as if one should be able to input one's product model number into a manufacturer's website and get a verified driver download. It does seem one should not have to download a program to search for the model nor should one have to risk downloading from an unverified site.

Greetings @scanner1,
You are able to input in your model number.
You can download the official driver(s) from the official product support portal and you are not assuming any risk since it's directly from Canon, not from a 3rd party. 😉
You can find the support portal for your product by entering the model number of your device here.
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/software-and-drivers
Select your product. It will send you to the support portal for your device. Select downloads. Chose your OS (Mac, windows, Linux), then the version and you will be presented with all available drivers and utilities available for download.

Thanks; that's a good address to keep on hand. I don't need a driver at moment. I'm getting used to the multiple idiosyncrasies of my new product, a scanner.
