I get this warning on my Mac: Rosetta enables a Mac with Apple silicon to run Intel-based apps. Support for Rosetta will end in a future version of macOS, so check with the app's developer for an updated version.
I looked for a newer version of the driver, but it's the same version on the Canon downloads site: Version 2.3.8
So, is Canon going to update the driver?

Good question, however, we here have no way of knowing if that is going to happen, we are owners of printers just as you are, not working for Canon.
