PIXMA MG2922 Secondhand; won't connect through wireless or USB.

I was gifted a used Canon PIXMA MG2922 from a friend, and it only came with the power cable, no USB cable. I have a connecting cable, and after downloading software and drivers and everything, it still refuses to be recognized by my computer, and my iPhone through the app. I can't connected it to Wi-Fi for some reason, and even though the USB cable is the right type and fits, it still cannot be detected. I have tried literally everything available on the internet to try to get this thing to connect, but so far it's just a paperweight. I'm about to pull my hair out over this. Hours of troubleshooting this to no avail are not helping.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG2922 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
