PIXMA G7020 keeps going offline

My G7020 keeps going offline.  I followed the instructions provided by Canon and hopefully changed the IP address to static.  Printer still went off line.  This just started happening this week.  Could I have a bad printer or modem/router from comcast.

Thank you

I have a similar problem on my G7020. Mine is connected wifi and the router is close by on the same floor. The wifi connection goes down intermittently. Sometimes the print request happens immediately. Sometimes the printer is offline when viewed status from my Mac with latest OS release. To get it going, I either power off and on the printer or i perform a network WPS connection. When I first bought my G7020, no network connection issue for about few years. This problem started in the past year. Not sure if the timing is related switching from Rogers to Bell Fibe. I have changed my Bell modem recently and the problem continues. Printer is using a dynamic IP. Should I switch to static IP? Help pls.
