I work in an enterprise environment and we are replacing the printers of a number of our staff members who work from home. Is there any way to install the drivers without having to unpack the printers and connect them to the laptops? I would prefer to leave the printers in the boxes and not have to install the printheads so that there is less risk of damage when the staff members take them home.

You should be able to download the drivers from here:

I have already downloaded the drivers from there, but what I am looking for is a way to install the drivers without needing to plug in the printer to the laptops during the install process.

This tutorial implies you can get all the way up to the connect to printer step w/o the printer being installed.
